2000
We had a fun Y2K.    We started out by going back to French Lick, IN for their Y2K New Years bash.  We bought a fabulous piece of property out east of Cincinnati.  It's 26 acres and it's got a little stream running through it.  Our little paradise!  We went to the always wild Mardi Gras celebration in Covington, KY.  We took some really fun trips to Baltimore, Washington DC, and Chicago, IL.  We went to "A Taste of Blue Ash" which hosts some top name musical acts.  In 2000, we saw Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits, Chuck Berry as well as many others.  We took in a Cincinnati Bengals Game at the brand new Paul Brown Stadium.  All in all a good year with the exception of losing Dan's father, Art who passed away in July.  Here are the highlights... Just click on the small pictures and a full sized version will pop up in another window.
We went to the Mardi Gras celebration in Covington, KY... They put on a real good party there... so good they almost cancelled future mardi Gras' there due to some questionable behavior of some party-goers...
Dan & Sandy rang in Y2K with a flair!  We went back to French Lick Springs resort (we went there in 1999).  This picture is of Dan being hypnotized and Sandy and some other girl sitting on him while in a "trance" hehehehe!
We bought our property (our little paradise).  It's 26 acres, about 80% wooded.  It's got the nicest little stream running through it.  Here are some pictures to show how pretty our new land is!
We met another celebrity this year.  Here is Dan with golf legend Arnold Palmer!
We went to a Cincinnati Bengals game in the brand new Paul Brown Stadium.  The stadium is really nice...it's just the team that needs work now!
We went to Washington, DC in June of 2000.  I think every American needs to go there to renew their faith in our great country.  It's such an inspirational place with all the monuments commemorating the great leaders that have had such impact on us.
We went to a music/food festival called Taste of Blue Ash and saw Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits, Chuck Berry, as well as Ray Charles and Wilson Pickett.
While visiting Washington, we also took in Baltimore for a day.  Here's Sandy at the Inner Habor area and here's Dan posing by the grave of Edgar Alan Poe, one of Dan's favorite poets.
