1999
1999...What a great year!  It's the first full year that Dan & Sandy were together (we met in December 1998).  We did so many fun things in 1999.  We saw a lot of fantastic musical acts from the Cincinnati Symphony to Chuck Mangione (former Rochester NY native). We went camping at some great locations including Hocking Hills, OH and Daniel Boone National Forest in KY.  We travelled to some exciting destinations such as Niagara Falls, Toronto, and New Orleans.  Plus, we met some new friends along the way.  Check out the pictures below that summarize our year 1999.  Just click on the small picture to open up a full sized version in another window.
We dressed up all in leather for halloween... what a riot.... boy did our friends think we were nuts!  We wnt to a club in downtown Cincinnati called the Warehouse with new friends Craig and Renee.
Here is Sandy's FIRST Garbage Plate.  This is a Rochester, NY dish .  It consists of hash brown potatoes, macaroni salad, baked beans, topped with either burger patties or hot dogs and smothered in coney sauce.mmm!
We went to French Lick, IN.  There is a wonderful old hotel there and they were having a Jazz Festival.  We saw Chuck Mangione (pictured) as well as a fabulous Sax player - Warren Hill, and a wonderful vocalist - Patsy Meyer.
We went camping several times.  Most notably in Hocking Hills, OH and Daniel Boone National Forest in KY.  We were continuing to hone our fishing skills.. take a look at those beauties!
We met a couple of celebrities in 1999.   In this picture is Werner Klemperer (Hogan's Heroes - Col. Klink) with the conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony, Jesus Lopez-Cabos.  Mr Klemperer narrated a classical piece.
We took a fabulous trip to New Orleans, LA in November.  We went on a Vampyre tour and met Vlad the Vampyre, we went on a dinner cruise with the Dukes of Dixieland and we met a real nice couple, Dennis and Shelly.
Sandy's Brother Rik and Sister Holly came down for a visit.  We took them to the Renaissance Festival and we took them to see Tall Stacks (Riverboats) on the Ohio River.  We sure had a good time.
We went to Niagara Falls on the way through to Toronto Canada (where we saw Phantom of the Opera at the gloriously restored Pantagious Theatre.  Great trip!
Here's a couple pics from our trip to Chicago, IL.  What a great town... Chi town... the windy city!  Highlights of our trip included the Chicago Art Institute and the Frank Lloyd Wright house.  We got quite good at riding the subway around!
We had a couple of fun parties at our apartment.  Here's Renee's Birthday pajama party.  In the second pic is Sean & Tara and Craig... look!... are those JELLO SHOTS on that table??!  Renee, just how many of those did you have???
